Ed Sheeran Will Perform On The 2023 ACM Awards
The Academy of Country Music has just announced that Ed Sheeran will take the stage for a performance during the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards.
Hosted by country music icons Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, the two-hour show will be free to stream live for a global audience across 240+ countries and territories exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch on Thursday, May 11 at 7 p.m. EDT from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The full rebroadcast will be available to watch after the show on Prime Video and will be available to stream the next day on Friday, May 12.
Sheeran, who just released the critically-acclaimed studio album “-” (Subtract), is in the midst of his “+ – = ÷ x” (Mathematics) World Tour. The performance will be his debut on the legendary ACM Awards stage, adding what the ACM is calling “an electrifying moment” to an already-packed evening of performances.
Ed posted a video on the ACM’s official Instagram. He said in the clip, “Who said the Brits don’t have a little bit of country in them? I’m really excited to be at the Academy of Country Music Awards this week. It’s the first time I’ve been performing on it, and I am super pumped about it. Tune in this Thursday, May 11, on Prime Video. Nice one.”
Many fans responded to the video post, including one who wrote, “So glad you are coming. After what you have been through, you deserve some fun time.” One more fan said, “I’m excited to see this!”
