Many fans reacted to the post, including one who said, "Well-deserved! In my opinion, you are unmatched in talent. You are truly blessed and gifted, not just for a woman, not just for a young woman, but period! You are phenomenal. Thank you for all that you have given to us. Your songs & voice are magic. See you in Vegas next month! #thequeen." Another fan commented, "Because you are an artist, and the world loves ya."

Since 2001, the TMAA have celebrated 118 Texas leaders and luminaries who have achieved excellence through their creative talents and those whose generosity has opened doors to artistic opportunity for Texans of all ages. Lambert joins past honorees, including Jamie Foxx, Matthew McConaughey, ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, Boz Scaggs, and many more.

Miranda has been spending some time in her home state of Texas and has been writing songs with an old friend. She posted a couple of photos to Twitter of herself and Wade Bowen with guitars in hand.

Well, actually, 2 songs. And one of them, we might have rhymed George Strait w/ chicken fried steak. Prolly my fav rhyme ever!"
