Blake Shelton Celebrates Cold Snap By ‘Mowing the Snow’
Blake Shelton is back home on his property in Oklahoma. And even though the weather near his Okie home is cold, with a high of 30 and a low of 23 degrees with snow flurries yesterday, Blake could not resist getting on one of his Kubota tractors and mowing.
Dressing in all camo with a black beanie on his head, Shelton shouted with glee in a short video he posted on Instagram, “Hey, I’m mowing in the snow because I can, yahoo!” He captioned the post, “Don’t try this at home… #kubota #kubotacountry #kubotatractors #kubotausa.” His late father, Dick, was a Kubota salesman when Blake was younger. The elder Shelton passed away in January 2012. At the time, Blake’s team released a statement saying in part, “Mr. Shelton, who was in declining health, was surrounded by loved ones in Oklahoma upon his passing,”
Fans loved the post, with one commenting, “Omg, once it makes you happy.” Another fan gushed, “You’re fricken awesome!!!” One more fan wrote, “Gotta love a country boy.”
A few weeks ago, Blake broke ground on the latest location of his upcoming “Ole Red” Las Vegas restaurant. Plans are for it to have a grand opening in late 2023. Blake said at the event, “If you are going to do something here, you’ve got to do it big. Every time I’m in Vegas, I want some country music, and Ole Red is the remedy for that.”
“Ole Red” Las Vegas will sit in front of Caesars Entertainment’s Horseshoe Las Vegas at the Grand Bazaar Shops on the southeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. At approximately 27,000 square feet with a planned 686 seats, Ole Red Las Vegas is slated to be the brand’s largest location to date. Shelton has “Ole Red” entertainment venues in Nashville, Tennessee; Tishomingo, Oklahoma; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; and Orlando, Florida’s Icon Park.
