Tyler Hubbard is spending his 36th birthday today in New York City, promoting his debut solo album, which was released on Friday (1/27). Tyler performed on Good Morning America this morning (1/31), and when he performed on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, his three young kids, all under the age of five, were with dad at the show.
Hubbard posted several images on his Instagram of himself, his wife, and three kids, Olivia, Atlas, and Luca, out and about in the Big Apple. He captioned the post, "Release weekend with the fam in NYC."
Several fans reacted to the fun post, including one who wrote, "Happy birthday and happy New Year." Another fan commented, "Happy Birthday, Tyler!! (birthday cake and heart emojis) Congratulations on the new album... I can't wait to get it!" One more fan wrote, "Can't wait to see you perform TOMORROW! Psyched! Happy early birthday. Glad to see you enjoying some New York pizza."
Tyler's wife, Hayley, also posted several photos of the family in New York City on her Instagram. She wrote, "Getting to be in NYC this week for Tyler's album release feels a little like we're getting to relive the 'good ole days' of when we first started dating… But now that we get to have our kids here with us, it's so much more special. I will cherish the memories made this past week forever."
Fans also reacted to Hayley's post, including one who wrote, "Y'all are so cute! Hope you had fun over the weekend in NYC!" Another fan said, "Your family makes me feel happy." One more fan commented, "Y'all are so deserving of this. What an amazing job Tyler did on this one. I'm absolutely blown away, although I did not expect any less from him. One in a billion! @hayley_hubbard."
Tyler Hubbard's solo self-titled debut album is out today. The album features his debut solo single "5 Foot 9." As he told us, he wants the album to be a vessel for telling his story and to represent his diverse musical influences. He said, "It means everything to get to have the opportunity to release a solo project, a debut album, to connect with the fans on a deeper, more personal level, to get to share my story. And so, this is a very important project for me. It's my heart. It's my soul. It's what I've poured myself into the last couple of years, so I'm super excited for the fans to hear it and for them to get to know me on a deeper level."
Hubbard said that even the sequence of the songs was important to him in the new work, "I really just wanted the fans to go on a journey from track one to track 18. I didn't want there to be any songs that you wanted to skip over. I wanted each song to bring out a specific emotion. I wanted it to be a journey. I want it to be fun, first and foremost. I wanted the fans to get to know me on a personal level. I wanted them to feel something, to feel anything. Whether it's making you laugh, making you cry, making you nostalgic, or thinking about the past or whatever the case may be."
He concluded, "I just want my music to make you feel, and I hope that's what this album does, and I hope you guys love it from track one to track 18."
As we celebrate his solo release in country music, we look at some of his ventures already on his own and his final show with FGL partner Brian Kelley.
