Brad Paisley Joins President Zelenskyy To Support Ukraine
Brad Paisley was the subject of an Instagram post from Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week. President Zelenskyy posted three photos to Instagram, including one of Brad on Zoom chatting with Zelenskyy. Paisley is encouraging fans to donate to help Ukraine fight the war against Russia through the United 24 program.
The Ukraine President posted, “We need to engage as many famous people as possible, who will draw attention to the restoration of homes for Ukrainians affected by the war. The world-famous country performer, and multiple Grammy and Academy of Country Music Awards winner, Brad Paisley, became such a person. @bradpaisley joined the ambassadors team of the UNITED24 fundraising platform @u24.gov.ua and will support the Rebuild Ukraine program.”
Brad posted, “I know I am not alone in wanting to help Ukraine, but like a lot of people in America, until now, I haven’t been sure exactly how to lend a hand from over here in the U.S. That’s why I’m excited to be an ambassador for @u24.gov.ua. You can support UNITED24 by clicking the link in my bio.”
Many fans responded to his post, both positive and negative. One fan wrote, “Class act. sending my flowers from Lima, Ohio.” Another fan commented, “Thank you (prayers emoji). We need help.”
According to the United 24 website, UNITED24 was launched by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as the main venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine. Funds will be transferred to the official accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine. They will be allocated by assigned ministries to cover the most pressing needs.
