The Coca-Cola Company is recalling various Minute Maid varieties and soda brands due to metal items potentially being in the drink products.

Per Food Safety News (FSN), the metal items in question include “metal bolts or washers.” The impacted drinks were distributed in the following eight states: Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Maine and New Jersey.

While many of these drinks have already been pulled from store shelves, the expiration date on them include dates that stretch into 2022, so consumers are advised to double-check any stock they currently have in their home. Taste of Home notes, “If you’ve purchased any of the affected Coca-Cola products, you should immediately throw them out or return them to the place of purchase for a refund. Under no circumstances should you drink any of the affected products.”
