Airing live with Kelsea Ballerini as host, this will be the first time Ballerini has hosted the show on her own. She previously co-hosted the fan-voted awards show for two years with Kane Brown in 2021 and 2023 and joined remotely in 2022.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be back for my 4th year,” Ballerini said in a press release. “Hosting an awards show that celebrates the music that the fans love most has been an honor and I know this year will be another unforgettable night." The show is available on CBS and on-demand on Paramount+ with Showtime from 8 pm to 11 pm ET.
Performances of the night will include Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion, Parker McCollum, Brittney Spencer, Kelsea Ballerini, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Sam Hunt, Dasha, Jason Aldean and Trisha Yearwood.
The awards show also featured several collaborations. Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson, and Sammy Hagar will perform a tribute to the late Toby Keith. Little Big Town also hit the stage with Sugarland.
Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney led the pack with the most nominations with three nods each. First-time nominees include Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan.
When it comes to the looks of the night, there were a lot of flops with the men's choice of outfits on the red carpet.

Chase Rice
Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for CMTIt may have been a "Bad Day to Be a Cold Beer," and it was also a bad day for fashion. On one hand, he was keeping it real. But it's an award show! Chase wore a white pocket tee, threw on some jeans and a dad hat, threw up the metal horns and called it a night. The effort was clearly a zero, but hey, if you're that handsome, who cares right?

Hubert Vestil/Getty ImagesThe "Take Your Time" singer kept things clean and classy at the 2024 CMTs. Hunt's tweed suit is tailored to his body perfectly, paired with a pastel baby blue collared shirt. Hunt being handsome makes this simple look so much hotter.
Lukas Nelson
Hubert Vestil/Getty ImagesThe "Find Yourself" singer needs to find himself a better choice of wardrobe for a red carpet event. Besides the typical denim on denim, Nelson's grey undershirt is too long and makes him look stubby. Throwing on a cowboy hat isn't a fix for the outfit and the light khaki color is actually more distracting and doesn't go well with the rest of his outfit.
Keith Urban
Rick Kern/Getty Images for CMTSomeone needs to tell Keith Urban to stop dressing like an emo boy from middle school, but I digress. Urban's athletic shoes are so out of place with his ombre plaid shirt. Being an award-winning artist makes him feel relaxed enough to come to any event just as he is, and though we respect it, we can't call this fashion. But again, when you're this handsome you can kind of get away with anything.
Parker McCollum

We actually like McCollum's top half of his outfit, but the navy dress pants are what threw us off. They look too much like denim and brings the quality of his outfit down a couple of notches.
Dustin Lynch
Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for CMTThe "Small Town Boy" singer showed up at the 2024 CMT Awards as if he were a shady oil tycoon. The pinstripe khaki suit doesn't even match his navy undershirt. Just like Parker McCollum, it looks like denim and doesn't match the sophistication that comes with pinstripes. Pro-tip pinstripes don't always work, so be careful when wearing an outfit with them.

The classic cowboy outfit of dark dungarees with a big old belt buckle with a baby blue collared shirt is a bit boring. But it's his style - we'll give him credit to staying true to himself.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO
