Reba McEntire Gives ‘Very Thoughtful Gifts’ According to Co-Star

There are some famous people who, just by looking at them, you’d have a feeling they’re sweet and thoughtful in real life. One of those is The Queen of Country herself, Reba McEntire. And according to her Happy’s Place co-star Pablo Castelblanco, this is very much true.

In an interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Castelblanco — who plays Steve, the germophobic, obsessive-compulsive accountant to McEntire’s character, Bobbie — had nothing but sweet words for his costar. He also revealed that she’s a thoughtful giver. “She gives great bottles of wine, she gives really beautiful notes. Her notes are just so lovely. And also very thoughtful gifts, not only on birthdays, but also when we’re wrapping or when we’re doing stuff like that, that have to do with the season or a conversation you’ve had.”

He added, “[She’s] the best person on Earth. What are we doing? We should just keep telling everybody Reba’s the best.”

Happy’s Place is a sitcom that premiered on October 18, 2024. It follows Bobbie (McEntire), who inherited a bar, Happy’s Place, from her father after his death. She shares the inheritance with her half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). The series was renewed for a second season and premiered on November 7, 2025. Last month, it was renewed for the third season.  

As it turns out, the cast found out about the renewal around Castelblanco’s birthday. “When we got renewed, it was around my birthday, and then we got together to celebrate the news on my birthday, and then they had presents for me, something I did not ask for, and they made me had the best time. So that’s the kind of family we’ve become. And such a cliché, everyone says that about their show, but really, God, I mean, it starts from the top. It starts from Reba being the kindest person there is.”
