Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Separate After 19 Years Together

After 19 years of marriage, country music icon Keith Urban and actress Nicole Kidman have separated, according to multiple reports. The couple tied the knot in June 2006 and shares two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

PEOPLE confirms Kidman “didn’t want this” separation and “has been fighting to save the marriage,” a source tells the outlet exclusively. The long-time partners’ split was first reported by TMZ, with reports indicating the couple has been living apart since early summer. Kidman’s sister Antonia and the entire Kidman family have been “a rock” supporting her through this difficult time, according to PEOPLE.

The strain reportedly stems from the couple’s busy schedules. Kidman recently concluded filming "Practical Magic 2" in London while Urban has been on tour, including an upcoming stop in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In 2018, Nicole previously shared the secret to their connection: “We don’t text. We call... voice to voice or skin to skin,” she told Parade, emphasizing their commitment to communication.
