Lainey Wilson the “Psychic”
Wilson discussed her predictions about which artists will come out of nowhere, like Tucker Wetmore who became number one at the end of the year, or Warren Siders or George Burns. Wilson said, “Things looked a lot different than they do now. And if there was like a rhyme or reason to all of this madness, I think everybody would be doing it. But the day and age with social media and how you could not have much going on for you today, but there's no telling what you could have going on for you tomorrow kind of thing. And also, the other way around, too. You could have a lot going on today and nothing going on tomorrow.”
She added, “There's a very thin line on social media between being loved and hated nowadays. And so as much as I love these platforms for giving us a boost, it's a dangerous place to be, you know? But there's so many cool artists who I have found while scrolling on TikTok. I think Tucker Wetmore. I think he's a cool dude. I got to spend a little bit of time with him at Crash My Playa and good guy. Very sweet person and cheering him on."
Wilson continued with her predictions, "Yeah, I think there's a girl named Gabriella Rose who also went viral not long ago that I'm a big fan of. She's awesome. And right now, you got Ella Langley, Megan Moroney. Those girls are doing the social media thing, and it’s working. And I'm just so proud of them.”
More and Less of in 2025
Wilson discussed her desires for 2025, “I want more of living in the moment. And less chaos. I feel like I'm finding that balance. I mean, it has just been ‘pedal to the metal’ for a really long time.”
Wilson elaborated, “You know, I've been in this town for 13 years just running and going, and I feel like there was a lot of success all at once and lots of opportunities at once. Now is a cool place to be where I'm at right now because I feel like I can tap the brakes a little bit. I can make sure that I am staying present and I'm in it. I'm in it every award show, every moment I'm on stage, every interaction I'm having with a fan, I want to be present. I want to be there.”
