The Countdown Begins: Keith Urban’s High Tour 2025
Keith Urban will be on the road again soon to start his tour for his new album, High. The highly anticipated tour will showcase the new music from the album while also delivering high-energy performances fans have come to expect in Urban’s shows.
Keith, who’s been touring since 2001, shared some of his unforgettable tour experiences when he was still starting out, as he prepares to hit the stage again next year.
Memorable Tour Moments
Keith recalls several unforgettable tour experiences with few standouts. Reflecting on his long career, he feels fortunate to have opened for great artists and learned so much from them. “It was crazy opening for Brooks and Dunn back when it was Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith and Kix and Ronnie and me opening the show, you know, four in the afternoon when there’s nobody in there”.
He’s also grateful to be able to open for Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, and Dwight Yoakam, among others.
What to Expect on His 2025 Tour
Keith was asked how he wanted to open the show. According to him, he’d start with “Straight Line.” “I want to come out swinging, and then I’m going to ease into ‘Messed Up As Me,’ and then we’re going to head over to a different vibe and then another vibe after that.”
He discussed his approach to setting the tone for the performance and how he would want to keep the audience on their toes. “When I feel like it’s gotten a little too serious, we’re going to completely lighten the load with something absurd and it just rise and fall. Different moods, different seasons, different energies.” He added, “No two songs are in the same key back-to-back, no two songs of the same tempo, back-to-back. So hopefully the next song is always something that feels just right. Coming off the one you just heard.”
It seems one of the reasons for Keith’s long career in the country music industry is his intentionality and how he thought of all the details. “I want to leave the listener well, I want to leave them with ‘Break the Chain,’ because it’s ultimately a very hopeful song.”
In a few months, Keith’s fans will see how he will bring High to life on stage and what surprises he has in store for his audience. As the tour approaches, excitement builds over how Urban will reward fans who have waited four years for new music.
