Jelly Roll has been having the time of his life lately; after years of working on his music, he's now a big celebrity. The sweet singer is always thankful for what he gets and just recently on Instagram, he posted his appreciation for being a CMA nominee for 2024 and a CMA winner last year.

He posted a clip of his speech at the show last year when he won for New Artist. He wrote, "This was one of those things that I felt the momentum shift and my trajectory change. Last year winning the New Artist award at the CMA AWARDS was one of the most special moments of my life. I couldn’t sleep for days I was so wired up and excited."

Jelly added, "Now to come back this year nominated for Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and (I can’t believe I’m about to type this) ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR is mind-blowing. I just want to thank the CMA’s for their consideration I don’t take these nominations lightly just like I have carried my New Artist of the Year as a badge of honor the last year. November 20th LIVE on ABC. See yall there."

Jelly Roll took center stage at the Emmy’s earlier this week (9/15) with an emotional song and performance, for the "In Memorandum" segment of the show, paying tribute to those we lost this year.

Before the performance, Jelly walked the red carpet of the Emmys and told reporters that he was so honored to be a part of it.

Jelly told the crowd before performing, "I believe that music is therapeutic. I believe that music can heal. I also believe that storytelling is just as cathartic. I hope that this song can act as a healing moment for those mourning the storytellers we have lost this year. If you’re feeling lost or alone tonight, I want you to know that it’s OK to not always be OK."

The lyrics to Jelly's "I Am Not Okay" include: "I am not okay / I'm barely getting by / I'm losing track of days / And losing sleep at night / I am not okay / I'm hanging on the rails / So if I say I'm fine / Just know I learned to hide it well / I know, I can't be the only one / Who's holding on for dear life / But God knows, I know / When it's all said and done / I'm not okay / But it's all gonna be alright / It's not okay / But we're all gonna be alright."

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
