People born in July are either a Cancer (July 1 – July 22) or a Leo (July 23 – July 31). For a little more than half of the month, Cancers take charge. This sign brings about natural leaders who are known to be loyal, putting their hearts into every endeavor. However, these positive, strong traits can be impaired by their ego, pride, and jealousy when they start to fear threatened.

Leos born in July tend to be the most stereotypical Leos than their August counterparts. This means that July Leos have characteristics involving drama, creativity, confidence, courageousness, and a strong craving for attention. Born in Virginia, Elliot began her professional career as a member of the R&B girl group Sista during the ’90s, who were part of the larger musical collective Swing Mob. After doing collaborations for a couple of years, Misdemeanor released her debut studio album, Supa Dupa Fly in 1997. The Grammy winner and Rock Hall inductee has had a successful career in music ever since, and is known for her creative visuals in her music videos.

  This Barbie girl celebrates her birthday on July 2. The Australian actress studied drama in college, and after a few commercials and independent thriller films under her belt, Robbie relocated to Melbourne to begin acting professionally. She began her career in 2008 on the soap opera series Neighbours. After moving to the United States, she had her breakthrough in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street. She achieved wider global recognition with starring roles in The Legend of Tarzan (2016), her role as Harley Quinn in the DCEU that started in 2016, I, Tonya (2017), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), and of course, her latest blockbuster, Barbie (2023).

Cruise pursued an acting career at 18 years old and made his film debut in a small part in 1981’s Endless Love, followed by a major supporting role in Taps later that year. With 53 acting credits under his belt, this action star doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

  This genre-hopping artist celebrates his birthday on the Fourth of July. Born Austin Richard Post, the musician chose Post Malone as his stage name when he was a teenager with the help of a rap name generator. As a professional musician, he started off as a rapper before taking on pop influence in his music. With five albums under his belt, Posty’s sixth studio album, F-1 Trillion, is set to be his first country record, featuring Morgan Wallen and Blake Shelton.

  The comedic actor celebrates his birthday on July 6. Hart’s career began as a stand-up comedian before he had his first breakthrough in Judd Apatow TV series Undeclared (2001). Since then, the actor has starred in films like Think Like a Man (2012), Ride Along (2014), Get Hard (2015), Central Intelligence (2016), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), and Lift (2024). In 2017, Hart founded Laugh Out Loud, a media and production company.

  The “Many Men” rapper celebrates his birthday on July 6. Born Curtis James Jackson III in Queens, NY, he began rapping in a friend’s basement, where he used turntables to record over instrumentals. 50 began pursuing a musical career in 1996. After he recorded his unreleased debut album Power of the Dollar, he was struck by nine bullets during a shooting in 2000, causing its release to be canceled and Jackson to be dropped from Columbia Records. His 2002 mixtape, Guess Who’s Back? was discovered by Eminem, who signed 50 to his label that same year. He has since focused on his career in television, having executive-produced and starred in the television series Power and its spin-offs.

  The Beatles drummer celebrates his birthday on July 7. The English musician, who was born Richard Starkey, occasionally sang lead vocals with the legendary rock band, usually for one song on each album, including “Yellow Submarine” and “With a Little Help from My Friends.” As a drummer, Starr’s playing style is influential among drummers because of his techniques of playing with feeling more than the technical aspects of it. He was inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a Beatle in 1988 and as a solo artist in 2015.

  The Forrest Gump alum celebrates his birthday on July 9. Hanks studied theater before making his debut in the low-budget slasher film He Knows You’re Alone (1980). With a few sitcoms and comedy films under his belt, Hanks’ career took off in the ’90s with lead roles in classic films like Sleepless in Seattle (1993), Philadelphia (1993), Forrest Gump (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Saving Private Ryan (1998), and The Green Mile (1999). With ten studio albums under his belt, Bryan is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, with 11.5 million global album sales and 52 million track sales worldwide. He has also been a judge on American Idol since 2018.

  The Only Murders In The Building star celebrates her birthday on July 22. Gomez got her start as a child actress on the television series Barney & Friends in the early 2000s. While a Disney star, Gomez also pursued a music career and formed pop rock band Selena Gomez & the Scene.   The Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist celebrates his birthday on July 23. Born Saul Hudson in London, England, he was given his nickname Slash by actor Seymour Cassel because he was always “in a hurry, hustling whatever it was I was hustling at the time and never had time to sit and chat.” In 1985, Slash was asked by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin to join their new band Guns N’ Roses, along with Duff McKagan and Steven Adler. After achieving worldwide success, Slash has received critical acclaim and is considered one of the greatest guitarists in history.
