The “Halfway To Hell” singer posted a video to Instagram today (1/10) announcing to his fans that he was recently a guest on the Full Send Guest and the “5K By May” Challenge was brought to his attention. Jelly Roll says, “This message is for Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura. Somebody let me know I’m in for the 5k in May. Kyle Forgeard gassed me up. I’m ready to go. Anyone wanna join me?”
In the video seen below, fans can see Jelly Roll walking in the woods and shouting he “believes in himself” and “I’m in Bert” while wearing a hoodie and headphones. Plus, he already has fellow country singers and athletes commenting including Ernest, “F— it let’s ride,” Dalton Dover, “I’ll join you bro,” and Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, “The boys are in!!”
Aside from having a 5K to focus on right now, Jelly Roll is also gearing up to attend the 2024 GRAMMY ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4. The 39-year-old received a nominee in both the Best New Artist and Best Country Duo / Group Performance (“Save Me” with Lainey Wilson) categories.
“I’m not sure if I’ll post this or not because I’m so emotional, but the greatest honor an artist could ever hear is that they’ve been nominated for a GRAMMY. I got to hear that this morning. I haven’t cried like this since my daddy died,” Jelly Roll said in a video posted to Instagram.
