Corey Kent has unveiled a new song to his fans ahead of the release of his upcoming project, 23. The country singer's latest track, "Southeast Oklahoma Pines," is a love letter to his hometown, Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

The 29-year-old Oklahoma native shared his new song with a performance video on Instagram with the following caption:

"Broken Bow, Oklahoma just might be my favorite place in the world. It’s where my family has been for generations, running lumber mills & cattle. It’s where I learned to hunt & fish. It’s where I fell in love with the outdoors. To me, Southeast Oklahoma is more than a place. It’s a home cooked meal. It’s a hug when you walk through the front door. It’s heritage. It’s a nudge to slow down. To remove the distractions. When I make my way home to those Southeast Oklahoma Pines, it’s a reminder that even at its worst, life ain’t all that bad."

Kent sings, "Hometown boys won in overtime/ain't nothin' in the world gonna bring me down / maybe someday I'll care, but I ain't quite got there." While expressing his thoughts on the comfort of returning home, the singer-songwriter puts a thoughtful country touch on the tune.

Along with the new song comes the announcement of his next project, 23, which will be released to the world on Friday, December 28. You can pre-save it by clicking here.

"For the last two years, I've dropped something for you guys between Christmas and New Year as a way to say thanks for the continued support. Excited to continue that tradition. On 12/28 I'll be dropping a 9 track project called '23," Kent posted on Instagram. "No producer. No band. Just a man, his guitar, and wooden chair in a studio down the road from his home in TX."

23 will follow Kent's debut album, Blacktop, featuring his certified platinum single, "Wild As Her," and current single, "Something's Gonna Kill Me," currently on country radio.

In my opinion, you haven't lived until you've attended a country music festival. As a fan, what's better than having all of your favorite artists in the same location for a few days along with thousands of people who love the genre as much as you do?

If you've come this far, you're most likely looking to travel with friends, plan a road trip with the family, or attend a festival right in your backyard. From the East Coast to the West Coast and everywhere in between, there's most likely a festival scheduled near you.

Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Hardy, Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, and Thomas Rhett are just a few of the country superstars named as headliners across the United States in 2024.

In 2023, CMA Fest alone welcomed more than 90,000 daily attendees in Nashville, Tennessee, while reaching its largest stadium audience in its 50-year history. Festivals such as Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, and Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, are already sold out for 2024, however, you can join the waiting list for tickets.

If you're looking for something new in the coming months, then Jason Aldean and Kid Rock's latest announcement will have you kicking up your boots. The inaugural Rock The Country festival will take over Louisiana, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Missouri, and South Carolina next year.

"The first EVER Rock the Country is bringing big names to small towns. From rising stars to country icons, this is two nights that you won’t want to miss," Rock The Country Facebook post stated.

Now, we hope you decide to attend at least one of the festivals listed below. We will continue to provide updates here too, as soon as official announcements are released.
