“This was my first arena headline tour, and we did it to promote the mockingbird & THE CROW. I want everyone to have the chance to see what we created, so I’ve decided to live stream the last show of the year at Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Dec 9,” Hardy shared in a post on Instagram.
Hardy recently performed three sold-out nights at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium with tourmate and duet partner, Lainey Wilson. The “Truck Bed” singer now has shows remaining in Wisconsin, Illinois, Maryland, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi through the end of the year.
Aside from his headling tour, Hardy also just wrapped 5 years of touring as an opening act for his labelmate and friend, Morgan Wallen. “There’s so much I can say about how much it’s done for me and my career, but at the end of the day, it all ends in ‘thank you,'” he shared.
Earlier this month, Hardy walked away with two big wins at the CMA Awards for Music Video of the Year and Music Event of the Year for “Wait In The Truck” featuring Wilson. He also hit the stage to perform a medley tribute to Joe Diffie alongside Morgan Wallen and Post Malone, which you can watch here.
We had the chance to speak to the singer-songwriter backstage before the show about all of his success thus far. “I’ve always just said this, but if we don’t have the song, we don’t have any of this. It starts with the song and that’s how important it is. So I’m thankful for that. And I have my songwriting foundation, you know, before anything else,” Hardy said.
Following his epic CMA Awards performance, Hardy announced Hixtape Vol. 3: Difftape (Small Batch) coming March 29, 2024, with renditions of “John Deere Green” and “Pickup Man” out now.
