/Chris Stapleton joined Snoop Dogg in a new music video featured to open Monday Night Football on ESPN last night (9/18). The song in the video is a cover of Phil Collins’s “In the Air Tonight” performed by Stapleton, Snoop Dogg, and world-renowned drummer Cindy Blackman Santana.

Chris sings the song’s chorus, and Snoop Dogg performs football-focused rap verses while Blackman Santana plays the familiar drum fill in the iconic song.

Stapleton posted a clip of the new video on Instagram before it premiered last night. He wrote, “New Monday Night Football Anthem ‘In The Air Tonight’ premieres tonight on ESPN.”

Many fans reacted to the post, including one who wrote, “Oh my goodness.” Another fan commented, “There is nothing this man can’t sing! Truly amazing.” One more fan said, “As if we couldn’t love him more.”

ESPN posted the whole video on X (formerly known as Twitter).
