Carrie Underwood: ‘Feels So Good To Grow Things’
Carrie Underwood has had a little downtime since she wrapped her “Denim & Rhinestones Tour” a few weeks back, and she has been spending some of that time in her new greenhouse gardening.
Carrie posted her latest vegetable success, complete with photos, on her Instagram. She captioned the veggie images, “I swore I’d never try to grow carrots again after a couple of failed attempts…but here we are! Feels so good to grow things… hoping the @epicgardening folks see this and feel just as excited and proud as I do about my greenhouse goodies!! #garden #greenhouse #produce #organic #healthy #blessed.”
Many fans reacted to the post, including one who commented, “Carrots are my fav vegetable!” Another fan wrote, “A whole lotta AWESOME! Love fresh veg’s, and even better to grow them yourself. God bless! rocking gardening!” One more fan said, “Very nice greenhouse! You have a “gift” for growing produce!”

Underwood’s name was recently read in the biggest category at the 2023 ACMs, Entertainer of the Year . Carrie has won the ETOTY award from the ACM three times; in 2019, 2008, and 2009.
Carrie said of getting a nod for the night’s biggest honor, “It is, I mean, obviously such an honor to be nominated for Entertainer of the Year. Obviously, that’s such a tough category to be in; ’cause there’s just so, I don’t even want to call it a competition, there are just so many hard-working artists out there. They are pouring themselves and their time and their energy and their love and their artistry into what they do.”
She added, “Just to even be in the final category is just absolutely amazing, and hopefully, above all, we can all just remember that it’s a celebration of a great year in country music. And in our careers as artists, so we’ll just see what happens, but definitely excited to be in that category.”
