Reba Will Be A Mega Mentor On NBC’s ‘The Voice’
Reba McEntire will serve as Mega Mentor on Season 23 of NBC’s The Voice, premiering Monday, March 6 (8-10 pm ET/PT). Reba joins superstar coaches Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Blake Shelton. She will mentor the remaining artists who have made it through the Battle Rounds as each team prepares for the Knockouts. That will begin on April 17.
Having served as Battle Advisor to Team Blake during the show’s inaugural season, it’s most fitting. Reba returns as Blake coaches his final group of artists and bids farewell to the show. Shelton, who has eight wins, announced last year that the upcoming season would be his last.
McEntire has celebrated unprecedented success with 35 career #1 singles and more than 58 million albums sold worldwide. In 2020, she earned her 60th Top 10 (“Be a Light” – Thomas Rhett featuring Reba McEntire, Hillary Scott, Chris Tomlin, and Keith Urban) on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. That extended her record for the most Top 10 hits among female artists.
With has many accolades under her belt, including 16 ACM Awards, 15 American Music Awards, 9 People’s Choice Awards, 6 CMA Awards, 3 Grammy Awards, and a GMA Dove Award. She is also a 2018 Kennedy Center Honors recipient.
Reba recently opened “Reba’s Place” in Atoka, Oklahoma. “Reba’s Place” is a combination restaurant, bar, live music venue, and retail store. Constructed in an old Masonic Temple, the venue features two stories of dining space and a stage for regular live music.
The menu includes popular dishes from the region and beyond, all made from scratch. Highlights include the “Fancy” steak dinner, street tacos, chicken fried steak, and Reba’s personal favorite, pinto beans, and cornbread.
The venue also features a curated rotating collection of memorabilia from Reba’s personal archives, and visitors can purchase a wide selection of Reba merch at the retail space.
